Game Schooler Recommendation

From designer Wolfgang Kramer and adapted by Restoration Games, Downforce is a card-based racing game in which players bid for ownership of the cars in each race. However, it’s still possible to win the game even if your car finishes last! Your gameschoolers must manage risks and use tactical thinking skills to stay one step ahead of their opponents. However, most cards move the other cars, so players must choose wisely when playing cards. This mental puzzle is great for unlocking second and third-order thinking. The game board is beautiful, and the game comes complete with tiny plastic race cars that are sure to soften the hardest holdout.

Game Overview

Downforce is a card-driven bidding, racing, and betting game for 2-6 players based on Top Race, the award-winning design by the legendary Wolfgang Kramer. Players first bid to own the six cars in the race, then they play cards from their hand to speed them around the track. However, most cards will also move their opponents' cars. So figuring out just the right time to play a card is the key to victory. Along the way, players make secret bets on who they think will win the race. Whoever has the most money from their prize money, winning bets, and remaining bank wins.
